Welcome to the 11th issue of the Bring Back Wendell Vaughn as Quasar Newsletter. Past issues can be viewed here.
For those new to the newsletter, issues are sent out about twice per month with occasional e-mail updates on a range of topics including Marvel cosmic.
For the regulars, yes, it has been a while since the last issue. With good reason! A new Quasar fan has recently joined our ranks, born almost three months ago :) .
Conquest Discussion
Now that some time has passed and Annihilation:Conquest has come to an end, what does everyone think?
As good as the first? Better? Worse? Average?
More unanswered questions?
What is with this soul business and the bands? Adam Warlock transfers his soul into them. Where? Did he go into the Quantum Zone? Which of the 14 gems did he enter? Phyla, then transfers Warlock's soul into his body, huh?
How about a little explanation, Marvel! Speaking of explanation, while researching Annihilus and his cosmic control rod, various sites state that it controls (obviously) cosmic energy -- which Wendell has control over. If any readers have any info such as: if the rod has ever absorbed any form of energy other than cosmic; controlled energy other than cosmic; if the energy is considered or has been referred to as anti-matter or negative please give a shout out.
While reading the survey responses it was brought to my attention that a lot of Quasar fans had every intent on sending in a petition. They just need a little extra push.
So, there is no excuse now. A Quasar Packet sign-up form is available at the above link. Simply, enter the info and you will receive the petition with a pre-paid mailing envelope. All you have to do is sign and mail!
One other way you may send in the petition is by downloading, signing, scanning and e-mailing it. This way is a little more private and you do not need to include an address.
The results have been great so far. Keep them coming!
Mark's Remark's
How about we rejuvenate the campaign and reread "Killing Marvel Characters" from Marvel Age #129 October 1993.
